Journal/Doodle Case

I made something like this for Jalynn for Christmas. I didn't take any pictures then because I was finishing it up on Christmas Eve. Another reason is because if I make something, my poor family gets the first one with all the trials and errors! Sorry family, what can I say? You are all my scapegoats, that sounds better than test rats. Anyway, here's what I did.

That's the outside holder. I machine quilted the outside.

On the inside are two fabric quilted spiral notebooks.

One pocket holds the journal spiral and the other holds the doodle spiral. You know, there might be days that you just want to doodle.

I made a pocket on one side for colored pencils and pens and the other side for journal ideas.

I searched Google (another one of my friends) and found a bunch of journal questions from different places. Printed them on cloud paper and mod-podged them to the tags. By the way, get it? Cloud paper, dreaming, thinking. That was my ah-ha moment at Hobby Lobby.

I did that to both sides so there would be more questions.

Jalynn, I owe you a new one! I'm starting to get this down now.

Happy Birthday, Triniti!

Triniti is 6 today so we made a little trip to Build a Bear. The girls and I had such a great time. I sure wish I had invented that place!

That's Triniti with Puffcake.

And Tierni with Honeycake.

Happy Birthday, little dolly. I love you.

Scooby Doo Match Game

I had Scooby Doo valentines leftover from the wreath I made. Tierni loves Scooby Doo and anything little that she can carry around in her little hands. So I made a match game for us to play.

I just cut circles out of them and mod-podged them onto canning jar lids. Which by the way, I had left from my futile attempt at canning last summer. Didn't work out so well, hence the leftover lids!

Of course, I had to use my cricut to put vinyl letters on the back. I took the lid box apart and traced it on cardstock to make a box to keep the game in.

The hardest part was making sure the matches on the front didn't match the back. The girls were here today and I was right, Tierni carried it around and we must have played about 50 times. I loved it when I would get a match and she would say, "Good job, Grandma". Everyone needs a little encouragement, especially from a 3 year old!

When You Wish Upon A Star...

My name is Terri and I'm a Cricut-aholic. It's true, since I brought her out of hiding after Christmas, I just have to get my daily fix of cutting vinyl. Oh, and I'm also cutting up a lot of sheet music.

It's just too darn easy not to do this. Just frame the sheet music and put the vinyl on the outside of the glass.

Greg, Josh, Jennifer, Jalynn, Jordyn, Jace, Krissi, Triniti, Tierni, and Brandon, this one is for you!!!

Monday Morning Awesomeness!

While hopping around blogland yesterday, I found Little Miss Momma blog and I don't know how I've missed it for this long. It's written by Ashley, who just happens to be the cutest little thing and she's obviously a genius, because she came up with this.

It's made out of beach wood. Just one more reason I need to go back to Hawaii! Please, do yourself a favor and go check out her blog. I promise, you'll have a great time!

Happy Monday!
